When you have dirty clothes there are two ways in which you can clean them. First way is to clean your clothes using detergents, water and soap, and the other way is to give it for dry cleaning to a good dry cleaner. As the name suggest dry cleaning is a process of cleaning that doesn’t use any water. Most people prefer to use dry cleaning for their expensive clothes or at times when it’s difficult to get rid of stains with normal laundry washing. However, the difference between dry cleaning and laundry washing extend further than the examples mentioned above.

When you opt for dry cleaning you get better quality of wash as even the toughest stains are removed during this process. However, the use of chemicals gives the clothes in neutral scent and the difference of washing can be only felt visually. 
Doing a laundry wash gives a more even cleaning when compared to dry cleaning. This is because laundry washing uses water, which is a better solvent. However, tough and oily stains are not gone through this type of washing. Your clothes get a distinct scent after you wash them with water and detergent, and thus you feel better wearing clothes that have been washed in laundry.
Costs
Dry cleaning is a costly service and you can’t perform this type of cleaning at your home. Therefore, you have to take a trip to the dry cleaner nearby. This means you have to spend extra time and money if you want to get your clothes clean using this process.
Laundry cleaning can be easily performed in your home and there are many full automatic washing machines that are available, which completes this process of washing your clothes with just few touch of buttons. Additionally, the cost of detergent and water that you might need for cleaning your clothes is far less when compared to dry cleaning.
Effect on life of clothes
This type of cleaning protects the texture of your garments and thus helps in extending their life. Additionally, the chances of fading of color and bleeding is near to nil. While performing this type of cleaning special measures are taken to make sure that the type of fabric you use is protected during the process.
In this type of washing there is no guarantee that the texture of your fabric would be protected. Therefore, it doesn’t help in prolonging the life of your clothes.
